Professional Practice

After following the IU School of Liberal Arts page, I already noticed several individuals that intrigued me and I sent them a request to follow. I’m looking forward to connecting with individuals that share similar political views and passion for community development and initiatives. 

My LinkedIn profile was already set up with help from a professor in another course, so I was confident that I had the necessary sections that were relevant to my experiences and career goals. I am still having a hard time articulating which skills to put in the skills section. 

I like that this platform is social media based as it allows me to connect with professional opportunities outside of employment with individuals that share similar drives and passions. 

I have been using the LinkedIn platform for a few years now. I connected with my internship through this platform which ultimately led to the position I’m at now. I plan to use this platform for future networking and opportunities.
